Saint Petersburg Sport Concert Complex
Saint-Petersburg Sport-Concert Complex (SCC) was founded in 1995. It was organized on the base of B.V. Lenin sport-concert complex and later reorganized. Saint Petersburg SCC takes an active part in federal programs aimed at healthy life style promotion, populazation of professional sport and many other performances. Saint Petersburg SCC regularly houses international sport competitions, starting with football and finishing with gymnastics and hockey tournaments. Moreover it deals with numerous heritable and volunteer actions, like “Words without drugs”, “Healthy Saint Petersburg – the choice of youth” and others.
For many years Saint-Petersburg Sport-Concert Complex welcomes various sport and concert events. The history of the complex vividly depicts numerous contests, competitions and concerts. European Athletics Championship (1990), The First ATP ST Petersburg Open Tournament (1996), Concert of Mylene Farmer (France) (2000), Maxidrom Concert (2005) – it is not the full list of events, held in Saint-Petersburg Sport-Concert Complex. More than 30 million people became guests of the club. Many famous singers such as Alla Pugachova, Valeriy Leontiev, Sofiya Rotary, Shakira, Muse gave concerts in Saint Petersburg SCC. Since 1992 this complex provides visitors with the opportunity to visit one of the biggest exhibition areas in the city. It hosted international specialized exhibitions like “The World of the Cars”, “Industry of Fashion”, “Fairy of Property” and others.
