THEATERS
The Mariinsky Theater is situated in Teatralnaya
Square, which is considered one of the most beautiful squares
in St Petersburg. The theater, build by architect Cavos in
1859-1860, is a remarkable piece of St Petersburg's architecture.
Today, the Akimov Comedy Theatre
in Saint Petersburg is one of the most favorite places of
the city's public. It is located in the very heart of Saint
Petersburg, at 56 Nevsky Prospekt.
The State St Petersburg Drama
Theater, or Priut Komedianta, is quite young. It was founded
in 1987. At the very beginning, the Priut Komedianta was "the
theatre of one actor".
